Important information: The 1799 Tax List apparently consisted of TWO books – the first containing at most 236 names, the second containing 84.
However, the photocopy I was working from does not contain this second book. It contains 17 pages of names, and then a totals page for the 1st book followed by a page containing totals for both books 1 and 2.
This second totals page is now online!
I don’t know if I simply did not receive the second book, whether it has been mixed in with the first set of names, or if the second book no longer exists.
