The City of Greenville is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of vandals who toppled at least 25 headstones at the historic Old Greenville Cemetery on Court Row in Greenville sometime over the weekend [of the 4th].
Assistant Chief Darren Harvey said the city is offering a $500 reward for information resulting in an arrest.
Harvey said Revolutionary War pioneers William Russell and William Campbell are buried in the cemetery.
The two founded Greenville in 1799.
Anyone with information about the vandalism may call the Greenville Police at (270) 338-3133.

The Wickliffe house on corner of Hopkinsville and Cherry Streets in Greenville. Now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Dilford Holmes, it is one of the most popular homes in Greenville at Halloween and Christmas.

Western Kentucky Struggles in Wake of Storm
February 3, 2009GREENVILLE — Gay Santamaria and her three children had settled in after several days in a shelter at the Second Baptist Church. But she groaned when news came that they would have to move Monday evening.
The move, brought about by a need to consolidate shelters, was another disruption by the ice storm that knocked out their power.
